Grown in Lugu, Nantou, Taiwan, this GABA oolong is carefully crafted through a specialized oxygen-free process that enhances its naturally calming properties while developing a deeper, more rounded flavour profile. Moderately oxidized, it bridges warmth and softness, offering a soothing and distinctive character.
This tea brews into an autumn apricot liquor with a medium-bodied, smooth texture. Expect comforting notes of chestnut and sweet potato, layered with gentle cacao richness and a subtle sweetness that lingers on the palate.
Smooth, grounding, and easy to enjoy, GABA Oolong offers a mellow, calming presence with a balanced, rounded finish, making it an ideal companion for quiet moments and relaxed, mindful sipping.
Brewing Recommendations:
Western:
2 g. | 250 ml | 90-95°C (195-203°F) | 3-4 min
Gongfu:
4 g. | 100 ml | 90-95°C (195-203°F) | 30-35 sec (1st), +10 sec
Cold Brewing:
4 g. | 500 ml | 8 - 24 hours in the refrigerator
Notes:
Western Brewing:
Longer steep times, fewer infusions (1-2).
Gongfu Cha:
Short steeps with multiple infusions (5-8+) Increase steeping time gradually.
Cold Brewing:
Long steep times in the refrigerator, fewer infusions (1-2).
