Oriental Beauty Oolong
Lychee | Rose | Honey
Grown in the hills of Hsinchu County, Taiwan, Oriental Beauty – also known as Dong Fang Mei Ren or Bai Hao Oolong – is made from the Qing Xin Da Mao cultivar and hand-picked in summer. Uniquely, the leaves are naturally bitten by tiny leafhoppers, triggering a natural chemical response that enhances the tea’s sweetness and aroma.
With about 70% oxidation, this oolong brews a rich amber liquor with golden highlights. It offers a smooth, silky body and vibrant notes of lychee, honey, and rose, with subtle hints of citrus and a long, naturally sweet finish.
Elegant, aromatic, and richly complex, Oriental Beauty is Taiwan’s most famous leafhopper-bitten tea, a celebration of transformation and craftsmanship. With its signature white-reddish-brown leaves and floral-fruited depth, it’s a true Taiwanese treasure worthy of its royal reputation.
